2022 Word of the Year!

Positive is often the word we don’t want to hear especially in this new world we are living in. If you receive a positive test result that’s a bad thing.

Hey ya’ll,

Happy New Year!

I won’t do the whole “man 2021 was something else” or “2022 is going to be the best year of my life”. Both of these statements may be true but in all honesty, we have no clue what lies ahead of us over the next 300+ days. What I will say is I am hopeful for a great year, I am excited to learn new things, and I’m looking forward to celebrating my son’s graduation from High School, beyond that I have nothing.

Over the past almost 4 years we have been in a very precarious state, both physically (thanks Rona) and emotionally. When I say we I’m talking about all of us. Our world has been topsy turvy yet we have held on to make it to a new year with a clean slate. I welcome this new year and sit in great anticipation for all it has to offer. I realize that there are many things out of my control, so I will simply do all that is within my power and that’s having a positive attitude, love my family and friends and most importantly love on myself.

I was thinking about my word for the year and I think I’ve finally settled on POSITIVITY! Positive is often the word we don’t want to hear especially in this new world we are living in. If you receive a positive test result that’s a bad thing. I think it’s so interesting that this word which to me should always be good, has lost its luster. It’s a word that makes me look up! It’s a word that adds, it means fully assured: CONFIDENT. This year I’m giving positivity its power back and declaring it my word for the year!

Have you decided on your 2022 word? Share it in the comments.

Until next time!
