This month you’ll see lots of pink and purple.
October is Domestic Violence and Breast Cancer Awareness month. These causes are near to my heart because I lost two of my aunts and a host of loved ones to breast cancer and I come from a family with domestic violence in our veins. Every October I do what I can to spread the word about both causes. I find that education is power, it’s important that we are up to date on these major issues and work hard to do something about fixing them. My contributions may be small in the grand scheme of things but I can’t just sit back and do nothing.
Every Wednesday I will feature a post about Breast Cancer and every Thursday I will write a post about Domestic Violence.
