We realize he is really growing up. I must admit that frightens me a little. Not everyone will be so understanding and patient with him as he gets older.
It’s funny when you first envision having children, you never think about your child having a disability. But when it happens and you start living a reality you never imagined, eventually you get to a place where you make peace with it all.

I have quite a few amazing boys in my life who live on the spectrum. They are smart, serious, and very gifted.
